About

Why this site exists, and who built it.

Why this exists

I’m Mark, and I built this because I kept running into the same problem as everyone else who does trackdays around here: a circuit publishes proper spectator info for its big race weekends, gate times, ticket prices, where to stand, but never says whether a quiet Tuesday test day is actually open to the public. That exact question gets asked in the local motorsport Facebook groups and forums over and over, usually a day or two before the event, usually without a straight answer. Working it out myself meant checking five different circuit calendars by hand every single time. This site exists to automate that, and to let people who were actually there trackside answer the question properly once for everyone else.

What it does

It pulls published calendars from Donington Park, Cadwell Park, Oulton Park, Croft Circuit, and Harewood Hillclimb, checks them against a national timing diary, and defaults every test day to “unknown” rather than making a guess. Everything else here, from the circuit guides and noise limits to the photography, is here because it is the exact same audience asking the same practical questions: what is this corner like, where can I stand, what is actually running this weekend.

A showcase

It is also a showcase. I run a web design business, and this is the kind of site I build for clients: fast, mobile-first, built on real data rather than placeholder copy, and filled with photography I took myself instead of stock images. If you are reading this because you are trying to decide whether to hire me, everything on this site is a perfect sample of my work.
